We’re growing and looking for an experienced HVAC/Mechanical Project Manager & Estimator to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who can balance precision in estimating with hands-on leadership in project management — guiding jobs from bid to closeout while ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are met.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination

• Conduct site visits, RFIs, change orders, and kickoff meetings

• Oversee procurement, vendor negotiations, and compliance

• Ensure jobsite safety and code adherence throughout the project lifecycle

• Provide monthly billing, cost projections, and client updates

Who You Are

You’re detail-oriented, driven, and thrive on turning complex projects into well-executed systems. You lead with integrity, communicate clearly, and value teamwork and craftsmanship.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of HVAC or mechanical estimating/project management experience

• Proficiency in estimating software (Fastduct, QuoteSoft, Accubid, etc.)

• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with AutoDesk, Microsoft Office Suite, and Teams

• Familiarity with national and Montana building codes

Project & Estimating Expectations:

This role typically manages 3–5 active residential projects and 2–4 small commercial projects at a time.

Annual estimating volume ranges between $3M–$5M, with monthly bid output around $250K–$400K, depending on the season.

Compensation

We know that experience and skill deserve to be rewarded — and we structure pay accordingly to attract top talent in Bozeman, MT.

Salary Range:

• Entry-Level: $78,000 – $85,000

• Mid-Level: $85,000 – $100,000

• Senior-Level: $100,000 – $115,000

Most qualified candidates should expect an offer between $85,000 – $105,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and performance expectations.
